Psychotherapy

Mental Health from a Holistic Lens

Most of us learn to survive. We develop patterns, defenses, and ways of moving through the world that protect us — until they don't. Psychotherapy is where you begin to understand those patterns, not just manage them. It is a steady, ongoing relationship between you and me, built over time, where we tend to what is underneath — the grief, the inherited stories, the parts of yourself that have been silenced or forgotten — and work toward something more than getting through the day.

As a licensed psychotherapist and bruja, I bring clinical training and intuitive presence to this work. I draw from CBT, ACT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy alongside trauma-informed and grief-informed care, with somatic awareness and spiritual practices woven in when they serve your healing. Nothing about you needs to be left at the door — not your culture, your ancestors, your spirituality, or your grief.

What To Expect

During our first meeting, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope to get from therapy. We may utilize meditation or tarot for some additional clarity.

All follow-up sessions flow in 3 phases.

Phase 1: Meditation and Intention Setting
We’ll start with a short meditation to help calm your nervous system, allowing you to release any energy that may block your intuition and to be fully present in the moment. We’ll follow this by setting an intention for the session. Intentions can be what you want to focus on, such as celebrating recent wins, integrating newfound insight, or processing emotions and experiences, to gain clarity on a past or current situation. Your intention can also be what you want to feel by the end of the session — relief, centered, seen.
If applicable, we’ll review any accountability tasks from the previous session.

Phase 2: Exploration and Integration
During this phase we move through your inner world, discover the landscape of your psyche, and figure out what it all means for you. This is your intention in action. We may use tarot, art, music, or movement to get thoughts, emotions, and energy flowing. You are welcome to bring in any tool or activities that interest you, such as runes, oracle decks, and culturally based practices.*

Phase 3: Review and Accountability
During the final portion of the session we will review any new insight and identify tasks for continued growth, integration, and accountability. I will guide you in a grounding exercise to bring our session full circle, with a calm nervous system.

* Please note that I may have limited knowledge in other areas, however, I will support you to the best of my ability as I strongly believe in the power of showing up authentically and following your passions.
